To read more about scrap and crafting click here.In May 2021, we informed you about a fan remake of Resident Evil Code Veronica in Unity Engine. Regular scrap is found very often while special scrap is rare and the most valuable. There are three types of scrap, each used for specific sets of items. Scrap is a very typical reward for diving, it is used to craft many useful items at Old Nate's workshop in Cape Trelawney. Besides finding the diving spot, they can also find mines which are indicated by red colour of signals and spots. However, in some cases you need to avoid sea mines or find the spot yourself, then radars are necessary. They usually require you to find something in specific spots which are revealed to you with the quest, therefore radars are rarely needed. Sometimes you can also get diving quests from Old Nate or from people in the Arctic. It helps to make sure you found the right spot if you try to locate the it on your own. Treasure location is also marked by seagulls flying above it and bubbles visible on the surface ot the sea. In case of spots generated by treasure maps the signals from the radar are yellow making them easily distinguishable from regular diving spots. Then you need to find the diving spot, either by recognising the place shown by the map (use of the trade route menu is recommended) or using a radar to find the spot more easily (especially recommended in case of some tricky maps where there might be no island shown). Then the map will open showing you an island and an X spot nearby which indicates the treasure, there is also an icon in bottom right corner of the map which corresponds to the region where the treasure can be found. To use a treasure map you need to click on it to activate the quest. Sometimes they are offered as quest rewards, they can also be found during expeditions or gained from exhibitions at the World's Fair. You can obtain treasure maps by buying them from neutral traders or pirates like Old Nate, Isabel Sarmento or Anne Harlow. Only the type of reward has to be determined by checking the description of the map. The rarity and the region of the map can be recognised from how the map looks, as indicated by the icons below. Having 4 regions, 3 rarities and 3 types of rewards means there are actually 36 different treasure maps in the game. Every map also corresponds to the particular region and particular reward type (machines, animals or artefacts). There three rarities of treasure maps: rare, epic and legendary, the better rarity of the map means the higher chance for finding a rarer item. Opening a treasure map acts as starting a quest, which lasts for 60 minutes, that's the time the player has to find the treasure. The second way of finding diving spots is activating a treasure map which generates a special diving spot somewhere in the particular region.

The rewards you get depend on the region the salvager is in and on what types of items are equipped on the ship (to see what items can be used on salvager to affect the outcome of diving click here). Clicking on the diving button starts the diving process, which lasts 10 seconds, after that time the treasures will be loaded on the salvager.
